This
is the view from the doorway of my Barbie Room.
The display cabinets, pink rugs and pink stool all came from IKEA. I had the pink rollerblind, Barbie house and the floating shelf custom made.
Lots of people have asked me about the cabinets - the name of the range is 'KAMPE' but they have now unfortunately been discontinued by IKEA.

Right
Hand Corner
This section is also along the right-hand wall, to the right of the cabinet.
At the top is a floating shelf that holds my 2000 - 2003 Barbies, who are standing on top of the Celebration Barbies. The 2003 Christmas Kelly dolls are also there.
Underneath on the left is my hand-made Barbie house, which stands on its own table and spins round 180 degrees to show the other side.
On the right hand side is the My Scene display. This was actually a retailers stand meant to house boxed dolls, but I think it works just as well for the freed My Scene dolls!!
In front of the Barbie house, just visible on the floor is the My Scene Sound Lounge.
Left
Hand Wall
Along the left hand side wall I have cabinets 4 cubes high by 4 cubes wide.
Across the top are the Halloween & Christmas Kelly sets and lined up on the floor in front of the cabinets are more of my playline dolls.
The top row of cabinets holds 'fantasy' dolls like Romeo & Juliet, Arthur & Guinevere, Angels of Music, Goddess of the Arctic, Lady Liberty and others.
The second row is for designer dolls like Armani, Vera Wang, Nolan Miller, Burberry, Kate Spade, Cher by Bob Mackie and the Steiff 40th Anniversary Giftset.
The third row holds fashion dolls like the City Seasons collection, the Hollywood collection and some film dolls such as James Bond, Legally Blonde, Grease and so on.
The bottom row is devoted to the Dolls of the World and Princesses of the World collections. I've grouped them according to continent and hope to have every one made since 1979 eventually!

Diorama
Area
This part of the room is where I set up my dioramas. You can see here
the beginning of my bar scene! Underneath the table is where I keep my paints
and clays. On the windowsill above the diorama table stand some of my playline
dolls, dressed in Fashion Avenue outfits.
I always keep the roller blind
pulled down over the window to prevent sunlight from fading my dolls.
Right
Hand Wall
This is the right hand side of the room where I have a cabinet 4 cubes tall by 3 cubes wide.
On top of the cabinet are Collectible Kelly & Tommy sets. On the ledge at the bottom of the cabinets are more Kelly dolls plus Day to Night Barbie & Ken from 1985.
In front of the cabinet on the floor are 2 of Barbie's cars and some more playline dolls.
The top row houses my 3 porcelain Faberge Barbies, amongst others.
The second row holds a variety of Victorian Barbies, plus the two Wedgewood dolls.
The third row has the Enchanted Seasons collection, plus some Avon Exclusives, Society Hound Barbie and the Romance Novel Giftset.
The bottom row houses 4 Harley Davidson Barbies & Kens, amongst others
Back
Wall
This is the back wall of the room, where I have one single cabinet of 4 cubes.
The cabinet holds Marie Antoinette and the Couture Collection by Robert Best, amongst others. I have some playline dolls standing in front of the cabinet and Barbie's sportscar is parked under it!
Next to the cabinet is a double wardrobe where I store lots of playline furniture and playsets and some other dolls I don't have room to display. Hanging on the doors of the wardrobe are two Portrait Collection dolls (only one is visible here).
Stacked in front of the wardrobe are 3 Rotating Closets, which hold some of my favourite Fashion Avenue outfits.
Cabinet Close-Up
These is the inside of one of the cubes, housing my City Seasons collection. The dolls at the back stand on perspex risers so they can be seen properly; as you can see, the cubes are the perfect size for Barbie!

Wardrobe
CD Rack
This is a "wardrobe" for my Barbie clothes. I was having trouble fitting all of outfits in the Electronic Rotating Closets so this is my solution!
I used a spare CD rack from IKEA and put it together without inserting the shelves. Then, I used a length of net curtain wire cut into sections and inserted the ends of it where the CD rack's shelf supports would have gone. This wire is the perfect size for the Barbie coat hangers you can buy in packs from Toys R Us.
I also left the back of the CD rack off so the wardrobe can be turned 180 degrees. It is now a double-sided wardrobe that holds twice as many clothes.
Voila! One 6 foot tall Barbie wardrobe.
